Staff Selection and Training for School Cleaning

STAFF SELECTION & TRAINING

We have a rigorous process for ensuring that employees of AMC are fit for the role based on:

  • Skills, qualifications, experience
  • Character and integrity: Prior to employment all personnel are required to undergo a full formal police vetting. These records are maintained by AMC on the portal. As part of the formal recruitment process a full reference check is conducted of all new applicants by contacting previous employers.
  • AMC abides by its non-discrimination policy ensuring inclusivity of gender, race, age, and different abilities.

Induction:
All AMC personnel must be assessed as competent prior to commencement of work. All personnel undergo a full induction with explanation of all AMC company policies.

  • Emphasis is on: WH&S, Cleaning Modules from general to sector specific.
  • Policies include Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Security Policy
  • Site Inductions are conducted with a supervisor or customer services manager

Training:
Training is managed using the AMC online training platform. On completion of each module, the participant receives certification. School cleaners will have to complete a school cleaning module and be certified.

Onsite Assessment:
New personnel are also monitored during on-the-job training and only allowed to work independently once assessed as fully competent.

Cleaning Staff Uniforms: AMC ensures its cleaners wear the official AMC uniform when performing cleaning duties. Cleaners will always be attired in the AMC polo shirts, black pants and safety shoes and will carry an identity card. AMC commercial cleaning emphasises the right attitude, behaviour and conduct of its cleaning staff. We are open to co-branding if that’s a preference by our customers.

Up – Skilling and Training Updates: 
The training platform also automatically controls the timelines for refresher training.

Transitioning to AMC Commercial Cleaning

When considering a facility such as yours, we acknowledge that transitioning from your current cleaning service providers, will be one of your greatest concerns, and you want to ensure that there is no disruption of service to your customers and facilities. You would want to ensure that the right regulatory protocols are observed and a high level of risk reduction is included in the program.

The summary below outlines our process. We will ensure the transition and implementation will be smooth, seamless and discreet except for an increased level of service that will be evident.

Issue Resolution Process

AMC Freshdesk is an online APP with ticketing functionality that streamlines all requests, feedback and resolution to a single platform.

Depending on the feedback, immediate action will be taken, and the system prompts the site contact person to view and close off the job if the action is satisfactory.
